The STARGATE was built during the spring of 2004 for Starfest in Denver, Colorado. It was the collaboration of several Stargate fans and was supervised and constructed at DreamScheme Studios. We started with 4 giant blocks of regular bead Styrofoam and carved with a variety of tools including belt sanders, rasps, and saws. The gate and base were then coated in fiberglass and meticulously painted. Final detail was achieved with flora purchased from craft stores.


The Stargate measures 13 feet from side to side and about 10 feet from top to bottom. If you're interested in one for your sculpture garden please feel free to email.
