FARSCAPE DRD PROP REPLICA!!! |
FARSCAPE, in my opinion, is one of sci-fi channel's GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS. What a wonderfully creative show and what awesome eyecandy! Gotta love the Henson Creature shop! In the show, the DRD robots are maintenance/repair droids and serve, often-times, as comic relief. This is a LIFESIZE recreation of these whimsical robots! |
The full kit includes the main shell body, two eye sockets, the claw (2 parts), 2 clear lenses (20 mm marbles can be used also), 3 pieces of wire armature, and 3 lengths of tubing. I do not yet have a tutorial on the construction of one of these so we'll just skip ahead to the photos, shall we? |
Check this out. Because there are wire armatures in the eyestalks, and the claw/grasper, they can be posed in any configuration. Up/Down/sideways, any which way you want and they will hold the pose. |
The LEDs are SUPER bright so you can use your DRD as a nightlight! Contact me for kit info. |
P.S. yes there is enough room to mount an RC truck Chasis inside the body to RC your DRD. |
