This is a sampling of some of the sculptures I've worked on. Some jobs require water based clays, but oil-based clays are more suitable for other applications. Sometimes an RTV rubber mold is the best solution for reproduction, other times plaster molds are required to produce flexible latex components. My studio is readily available to handle any needs you might have. Feel free to contact us!!! |
This is a Mask Sculpt from the band SLIPKNOT. I sculpted it in oil-based clay, then molded in RTV so masks ccan be made of: resin, latex, foam, or vacformed plastic. |
You Harry Potter fans will recognize this project. A lifesize MANDRAKE. Unfortunately, I never advanced the project into the molding stage. But one day........... |
My first attempt at a lifesize HARRY from Harry and the Hendersons. I felt like I was making really good progress on this one but, alas, I was distracted by other jobs and the clay dried on me and I had to abandon the sculpt. I'll take him on again one day...... |
Another SLIPKNOT Mask. I reverse molded this and was able to produce a negative plaster mold, then a positive plaster mold. The result: Vacuformed mask shells that are inexpensive and lightweight. Email for details..... |
This next project was something stimulating and different. I was contacted in 2006 by the CEO of a paintball company. They needed flexible shells to cover the faceplates of paintball helmet shields. They provided me with diagrams of their company logo (an evil looking skull) and my task was to reproduce the icon as a lifesize functional faceplate cover. I started off with a lifesize human skull, and sculpted over the top of it layer by layer. Once the sculpt was finished it was molded in RTV and reproduced flexible urethane faceplates. Here's the project: |
More Creature FX done for IMPERIAL CHOPPER, the greatest fanfilm ever produced =) |
A Moria ORC I sculpted out of WED Clay, molded in RTV to produce lifesize urethane castings. These are FOR SALE if you're interested, in either half busts or full busts. EMAIL me for details. |
I LOVE THIS FROG GUY!! He's inspired by 'Worrt' seen in Return of the Jedi. I had heard about a new sculpting medium called 'sculpt or coat' and thought I'd try it out. 'Toady' is constructed out of a foam core, covered in rags, and papertowels saturated with the acrylic sculpting medium. |
Lifesize Augra coming soon.................... |
